Barre

A combination of Pilates, yoga, and ballet, this workout targets the glutes, thighs, and core all while choreographed to a high-energy playlist. Barre is low-impact and focuses on precise, small range of motion movements, followed by a targeted stretch to lengthen the muscles just worked. Each small isometric move works to strengthen specific muscle groups by working them to fatigue for optimal results and changing the shape of the body. This well-balanced workout is results proven and great for improving posture, increasing flexibility, and weight loss. In this class, expect to use light hand weights and various other props. This workout is ideal for all levels of fitness and offers variations of challenges and modifications along the way.

Barre fusion

A blend of both barre and Pilates, this class utilizes the barre for lower body sculpting while combining mat Pilates for its core conditioning. Expect a challenging workout using resistance bands and your own body weight. Expect to work deep into the powerhouse to not only strengthen the core, but to also help increase coordination and improve balance. This class targets the lower body and the abdominals while performing plank variations, squats, and core work to sculpt and strengthen while increasing spine stability and flexibility. Expect to use various props in this class. This class may not be suitable for those with back or neck injuries.

Love barre and its body-sculpting benefits, but are short on time? This 35 minute express, cardio-intensive barre class will give you a full body workout that includes muscle toning and cardio all set to a high-energy playlist. You'll be sculpting the legs and glutes with precise and small range of motion movements, as you would in a traditional barre class, but with bursts of cardio in between sets to increase the heart rate and torch calories!

pure Pilates

This low-impact contemporary Pilates mat class will challenge your core, increase your strength and flexibility, and improve balance all while connecting to your breath. A consistent Pilates routine helps to decrease stress and also provides an undeniable mind and body connection after just a few sessions. This class will help improve your posture with controlled movements and with emphasis on the breath, as you learn to strengthen and stabilize your powerhouse. A consistent Pilates regimen develops strength and endurance. This mat workout is ideal for both beginners and Pilates enthusiasts as it offers the fundamentals of a mat Pilates practice.

This energizing mat Pilates class is a full body workout where each movement is initiated from the core. Expect to utilize various small props and hand weights while strengthening and creating balance throughout the body. Tone muscles and increase core strength while building a flexible and stable spine. Expect to see increased stamina and endurance with a consistent Pilates practice. As with every Pilates class, there will be emphasis on the breath and controlled movements. This class proves that exercise can be fun and will have you wanting more! Suitable for all levels of fitness.

PILATES SWEAT

This challenging and high-energy mat class will have you working up a sweat as we incorporate cardio and contemporary Pilates throughout the routine. In every class we'll be mixing it up utilizing hand weights, resistance bands, gliders, fitness balls and more! You'll be toning, lengthening, and strengthening with added short bursts of cardio throughout the class for an extra caloric burn. This class is not ideal for those just starting their fitness journey. This class is not suitable for clients with a back injury.

sunrise yoga

Rise and shine with this energetic Vinyasa style class! You can expect a quicker pace than a typical Vinyasa to help strengthen, tone, and increase your stamina. You'll be coordinating your movements with your breath as you quickly move from one pose to the next. This workout offers a dynamic sequence of poses during the course of the flow to help you feel energized and refreshed as you begin your day.

*Footwear: Bare feet or non-slip sticky socks

 

heated vinyasa

Coordinate your movements with your breath with this yoga workout as you Chaturanga your way seamlessly from one pose to the next. This workout offers a dynamic sequence of poses which involves synchronizing the breath during the course of the flow. No two classes are ever the same! This class is 60 minutes in duration and ends with a calming lavender mist cool down. This heated yoga class is performed in an 80-85 degree room. Our Heated Vinyasa class is only offered from October through April.

Vinyasa flow

Coordinate your movements with your breath with this yoga workout as you Chaturanga your way seamlessly from one pose to the next. This workout offers a dynamic sequence of poses which involves synchronizing the breath during the course of the flow. No two classes are ever the same! This class is 60 minutes in duration and ends with a calming lavender mist cool down.

*Footwear: Bare feet or non-slip sticky socks

sculpt xpress

This 35 minute express class is fantastic on its own or paired with any of our other classes! You'll be toning your arms and sculpting your shoulders, upper back, and chest all while utilizing light hand weights and various other props. Don't let the light hand weights fool you though, because we promise that the high repetitions will have you feeling the burn!

*Footwear: Bare feet or non-slip sticky socks

 

total body

Performed on the DB Method, this class is a total body workout that also incorporates the use of hand weights and resistance bands. You'll walk away feeling toned and strong as you work through intervals of cardio, strength training, and sculpting. This class lives up to its name and promises to work the total body! This class may not be appropriate for those with knee injuries.

*Clean indoor sneakers are suggested for this class

 

Bünda burn + Sculpt

This 35 minute workout will have you feeling the burn as you strengthen, lift, and tone the glutes. Performed on the DB Method, this class will utilize a piece of equipment that places the body in proper alignment for the ideal squat. Expect to build and lift the seat while strengthening and toning the legs. All fitness levels welcome. This class may not be appropriate for those with knee injuries.

pound: Rockout. workout®

Rockout and workout with this inspiring and motivating class! You'll be getting fit as you use Ripstix® (weighted drumsticks) to sweat and sculpt during this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, yoga, and Pilates-inspired movements. Your inner rockstar is sure to make an appearance during this heart-pounding session!

*Footwear: Bare feet or non-slip sticky socks

At Boston Barre, we want every guest to get the most out of their workout. Our trained and knowledgeable instructors are here to provide guidance and provide participants with verbal cues throughout each class to ensure that proper form is used. It's not uncommon to hear our instructors use proper anatomy terminology throughout the class, and occasionally provide hands-on adjustments. For class participants that may prefer not to receive occasional hands-on adjustments, please do not hesitate to inform your instructor before the start of every class.   

Please note that regular everyday socks may not be worn during your workouts. Bare feet are welcome or you can purchase a pair of our non-slip/grip socks or bring your own pair.

 

*As with any exercise, it's always best to first consult with your physician to ensure that you are well enough before starting a new fitness routine.
